Hi.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good out of the bottle colour for pine wood? Preferably the vallejo or model master enamel lines since that's what I typically work with.

Vallejo Iraqi Sand #70819 is a good "fresh cut, kiln-dried" pine color. It's a pretty good match for a new 2x4 wall stud.
On the other hand, it is pretty light, and I usually add some darker tan and brown wood-grain lines along with a wash of Burnt Sienna artist oil paint.
I guess those tool handles are probably hickory and not pine, but you get the idea.
