Okay, I took off all the ejector-pin marks ( why don't companies think of something to avoid that? two per track-link times hundred per track...) and sanded every single track piece... #:-)
So what's next? If I start glueing now, it seems like I can't paint it any more when glued together... (rubber pads on the track)... but if I paint them now, I can't hold them (can I?) and glueing them together will give me ugly spots on the painted bits...
Hmmm anyone who wants to help me out?

Assemble them in sections. then paint each section. then assemble them on your AFV. make sure you test fit before painting.

Hi Jurgen
There are a few articles on the site with different methods. Look in the Features section.
Obviously I recommend this one:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net//features/127
And there is another here:

Cheers

I have built about 4 of these so far and in each instance I cleaned 'em up, then put a light coat of flat Tamiya black on the parts, then asembled in shorts runs. I found that the light coat of paint helps hold the end connectors in place as I am assembling. Once assembled in small track blocks I put the entire track on the vehicle. If you want, you could repaint prior to placing on the tank. I found that since I was going to weather them or add mud, the initial paint copvering served it's function well. I have only had one bad experience. I was outta control with a wash on a cheap set and a few links melted from the glue, otherwise, no problems. The really stange thing is that I actually enjoy putting them together and for that I have no explanantion. I guess because its so much easier then doing for real at the motor pool! Hope that helps.
