Hi guys, Heres an updated picture of my trench dio. Location Le Hamel France June 5 1944. Le Hamel was a coastal town, the next day the British would call it Gold Beach. There will be a kubelwagon out front and the dog (not a poodle but defintely French) will be watering the front tire

Nice looking stuff Don, now don't forget, Gert Frobe on a horse with soup panniers.... Nice to see a peaceful little scene like this, nicely understated.... Jim

Yep Andrew all primed and ready. As you might have noticed the radio operator is still waiting on a head from warriors :-)

Jim, I'm asuming that Gert Frobe is that rather portly German in the movie the Longest Day :-) :-) :-)

Is 'portly' a P.C. way of saying fat? Jim

It is indeed, although I may be wrong in the identity of the 'portly' actor, a truly great cinematic moment.... :-)

That is really nice. I love all the routine 'activity' taking place in this dio. I really like all the detailed work you have put in there. Very well done.
One thing that caught my eye are the sandbags to the left of the tree stump in the first image. In the photo, with the camera angle, they seem a bit long to me. Could be the photo or I could be wrong. Just an observation.

Yep i d have to admit that is a nice scene and i bet probably will turn to a nice dio. Ans slodder is also right , some sandbags are that long that the weight they would carry would be a difficulty to move them. All over nice work

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I'm really having a lot of fun with this one. I get to seach through all the old kits and part boxes for a small piece here and there to place in the dio. :-)
