Perhaps this is the one the decals are refering to;
The name of the picture says Captain Dumas & half pint.
If you want to build this one you'll need to leave te bumper off.
One thing i would like to correct.
"There are two options for the door windows, three actually: Fully closed, partially closed (or open?) and, of course, fully open."
There are only two options. The windows are sliding windows - the front half. So only the two first options are possible.
They do not move up or down. Therefore fully open would mean you took the window out.

I know it won't help much with the unit ID, but I'm quite sure the pictured officer is French, judging by the leather jacket (in addition to his name )

Oops! Of course you're right. Sorry about that, must have been half asleep when I wrote that part...
Thanks for the info, it looks like the one. I had a hunch it might be french. Can anyone identify the unit emblem, red spade?
Cheers!

A red spade stands for 1st platoon/3rd company, but that's for armoured divisions.
Haven't found what the rest means. Hopefully our French readers can help.

If I was you I would glue the wipoer blade to the windscreen or wherever first and then attach the arm between the body and wiper blade.
