Hi everyone,
Yes, after 8 years and over 10000 hours of work spend on this diorama I will conclude this adventure with the publication of a second book.
The book is right now finalized and will be printed in the first days of october!
Brace yourself for 144 pages of detailed description of the making of Diorama Clervaux,in english language again.
As the book has been made in cooperation with Canfora Publishing and the distribution will be made together with Panzerwrecks, both the look of the book and the availability in the hobby market will make a big step forward. Overseas distribution is in discussion right now.
The book will be about how I made the diorama. Among a lot of other helpful tips and tricks there will be tutorials on house builds, tree making, an extensive section around the making of the river and a lot of others. There are even items and figures never disclosed online! Around 700 pictures will illustrate the book!
The book will be heavier as the first one, so shipping charge will be a bit more unfortunately. The price of the book is not yet set but I will make it very reasonnable considering the page count.
I will offer a PDF version of the book in french language.(end of the year). A german version will come next. I do both myself, so be patient please.
A spanish version is also already in the making!
An english PDF version is an option, but only after you bought all my stock of books :-)
So guys, you can tell your wife already about it and make a hint at the nearing Christmas season.
Thanks a lot in advance
Claude
PS
I think that the book will be on sale on my site starting Oct 10 (+-2 days). A long expo weekend on Oct 12 and a 2 week vacation starting Oct 16. are putting me a bit under unnecessary dispatch stress. My son will assure shipping during my absence but if you want the book signed by me, you must either make a very early order or wait after Oct30.

Awesome news Claude.
I will start saving up and making space on my bookshelf. Another long anticipated book to be added to the collection.

@Holger
Ok, guys, I'm sorry, after half the text it only occurred to me that I am writing on an english forum and I don't want to
rewrite it.
In short, french version hopefully end of year, the german version march, april, if I work good.
There are nearly 80 pages of text to translate and it isn't easy as a lot of terms are not in daily use and I must research them. I know them, but are not in the front drawer of my brain.
I'ts a hobby, it's a hobby, no stress, no stress :-)
Thanks
Claude

Thank you guys, I will print three more then! LOL
I'm honoured by your enthusiasm, really, that's great to hear.
Please give me a couple of days, I set the final price just two hours ago (it will be €30) and need to update and change my website to accommodate for all the options.
I will have a few options for a cover tomorrow also, so you see, all this is still very much in progress.
@Holger
Yes, as sending both books will make it change into yet another shipping category, more expensive of course, I will offer a 10 % reduction on the overall price (shipping included), making it a very good offer.
When the website is up-to-date, I will update here immediately
Thanks again

@Franck, thanks a lot!
I am on-line with a slightly changed website!
It's still
Diorama Clervaux or click on the banner below ( I do not succeed in getting my banner display correctly)
I still know nothing about HTML and CSS and whatever else, so I played around until it was good.
If you notice something wrong on my page, please drop my a mail.
The cover is not yet definitive. It's not far, but it's not yet it.
Click on it to have a preview of a few pages of the book.
Orders can be made right now! The time table is still set as to be able to ship the first books on Monday Oct 14. (perhaps the Thursday or Friday before but I prefer to play it safe)
I am fairly confident to be able to get a distributor deal in the United States, so if you feel that the shipping costs are to high for you , you should wait a bit until it appears at your favourite shop.
Combined orders of both books can not yet be made as the final weight of the new book will make a combined shipping be just around 1000 gr., +- a few grams !
Above or below means another postage category.
I will update as soon as I have one in my hands.
Thanks a lot
Claude

Thank you Paul.
Hey, the fist book is already sold to the Netherlands.
Thanks a lot to the buyer, probably from Armorama . I posted no where else until now that the book is coming.
The weekend could not start better!

Hi Claude,
Many congratulations on getting the dio finished. A labour of love and a master piece if ever I saw one.
Look forward to the 2nd book coming along, just pre ordered a copy.
Excellent web site and presentation BTW.
I've enjoy and marveled at the standard of work and detail you put into the project from the start, it has been a truly inspiring build. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Cheers

Hi Alan,
Thank you very much! I got your order.
I am pretty dure that you will not regret the buy!
Thanks also for all those years of supporting me through comments and so.
This is meant also for a lot of posters here who made the journey nearly from the beginning.
Flattering comment on my website! Amateurish way to do it, so I am even more happy that it is presentable.

Hi guys, I was so eager to get the news out to you that I did not include the couple of pictures I meant to.
Starting with the cover of the book
The view again of the whole dio
a nice street view
and the view of the river. The river is having a very prominent place in the book and the making off will be explained stone by stone!
Thanks for the many orders I already got.
