The engine deck for the Trumpeter T-62 BDD has doors that are shown in the instructions as closed over the engine grills. Would these be open or removed for a vehicle serving in Afghanistan?

You can actually have many different combo's with the doors. Open, closed, completely removed or some removed. Here's a picture from a Guards unit that has the main radiator hatches and transmission cooling hatches installed, but the smaller hatch next to the tranny is missing.

Oh cool! Thanks. I wasn't sure what they were for- I just envisioned the engine overheating when they were shut, but I don't know too much about Russian tanks or mechanical things. Thanks!
