The set up is not new, just a re-issued.
I had this setup back in he nineties and it is not a very good system, the compressor has no power what so ever.

And it was close to $500 bucks back then; easy to travel with for doing demos.

That is a seriously expensive airbrush. I have 2 Badger brushes and a compressor for about half that money. Not good value, Tamiya.

An Iwata Eclipse and an Iwata Smart Jet compressor cost less than that. Just saying.

Have a Badger compressor, two Iwatas and a Sotar for $450. Where's the value?

I suspect this is being produced primarily for the domestic Japanese market where the price will be way lower....

A lot of the airbrush compressors are the oil free ones , they are OK but if you want a compressor that will out live you buy one that has an oil sump just don't forget a moisture trap. They will run forever . And get one with the biggest air tank less compressor run time . Push come's to shove you can use it to run air tools also .

I too do not see a value here, must be a lot of Brand Loyalty in Japan at those prices.

my brother in Japan tells me this is still around Php23000, or roughly $470. Way more expensive that the Mr Hobby compressors. noise considerations are quite a factor there as you can get fined for being noisy (at their place it is so quiet down the streets that you could clearly hear a conversation 30 yards away)

I got my compessor at NAPA for $80 I'll pass on this one
