Anybody have any suggestions why Dragon never made a Sturmtiger in 1/35? AFV made a good one but without zim. Italeri made one with zim but not as nice. Dragon made one but in 1/72. Why not a really good one (with zimmerit) from Dragon?

They probably will at some stage. They have released every other Tiger 1 varient.

I have wondered same thing, I would buy it. I have Tamiya/Dragon kitbash on bench, project kind of lost momentum though and with my luck Dragon announce it just when I find inspiration to continue

I was going to do the same thing with Italeri Sturmtiger's lower hull with zim, and AFV's upper hull/fighting compartment because it has crisper detail than Italeri's. But the late Dragon Tiger l with zim might be a better choice for the lower hull and running gear. And Italeri's limited interior parts. All in all, an expensive kit-bash. Of course, once that is made Dragon is sure to release a Sturmtiger!

Kind of off topic, but AFV made one in 1/48 with zim on the front and back, but none on the sides. You have to try and match their pattern to complete it.

Yeah, I have that one too. That's based on the Skybow/AFV Tiger l late with zim. Really excellent kit and the best one on the market (considering Tamiya is the only other).

Yeah, it does look like a good one ... except for the zim. I really want to build mine, but matching their pattern has me holding off.

I have this principle that if model sits in your stash more than six months it's basically free

Wow! Talk about depreciation! I better not let SWMBO read this one... she may just figure that the hall closet could well be emptied and used for something more important!

AFV Club is quite nice and well detailed. You would have to add zimmerit only to thehull, which is only flat areas. It's a good chance to practice, give it a try.
