Let's see, I have both hands in casts, a stack of kits on the shelf, and 8-10 weeks at home, so let's see if we can come up with some ideas for What If dios:
WWII
Sdkfz 233 parked outside a demolished Lenin's tomb?
DAK Mk. III meeting a 1st Pz. Army Stug III somehwere in Syria?
Finnish T-60 rolling into Leningrad?
French Souma rolling past a KO'd Mk IV (Ha!)
Pershing in Berlin
Pershing in Warsaw
Pershing at Lenin's Tomb?? (Can you tell I have a bunch of Pershing's on the self???)
Sherman covered with Mixed US/German troops.
88 supporting US troops.
Brit troops NOT brewing tea.
Maus or E-100 facing a T-54
German troops with MP-44 facing Soviet troops with AK-47's
Japanese tank in India?
Japanese Tank rolling into Hawaii (better still- by the HOLLYWOOD sign!).
OK- Post WW II
Pershing (or Centurion) and JS III in Korea-China
Pershing on the Great Wall
US and Soviet tank anywhere in Germany, perhaps with a sign for Fulda?
Sheridan in Hanoi?
T-55 in Haifa
Super Sherman at the Pyramids
Challenger in Port Stanley
And those are just off what I can see and take the hour I needed to type this.

Bummer! Both hands in casts? What happened?
Two years ago, I broke my right wrist on the job. I was using the hand to do some painting/prep within a couple weeks. I think that helped a lot in recovery. I was working on the Warriors American Heroes vignette while still in the cast. The PT or OT who was working with me (a very pretty woman, the upside of such an injury) was impressed with the progress I'd made before the first visit.
Keep the fingers moving. As soon as you can, start making fists. The less you move, the more atrophy sets in and the longer the recovery.
I don't even want to think how yo're re-learning the basics of personal care and eating in your condition.
Over the last 15 years, I've broken my left wrist once (bicycle fall) and ny right wrist/thumb 3 times (car accident, motorcycle accident and snow on slippery steps) which resulted in two extended therapy sessions nad one surgery with pins.
The good news is all the modeling skills return. :-)

How I did it: While on a bicycle, a car turned out in front of me. I was riding on aerobars on a park road, so when my wheel hit the car , my hands were extended all the way in front of me and took most of the impact. Lots of small breaks, mostly in right hand (luckily, I'm a lefty). Left hand should be out of the cast in 2-3 week, right hand will need 2-3 operations and will be out of the game for 3-4 months.
The upside: their insurance company did not like the police finding (in my favor) and is trying to C.I.A. SO I'll have some time away from work for the operations, and my PT already thinks models are a good idea for therapy. (can I get her to write me an Rx for kits????
Anyways, best wishes.

Aero bars...never thought about hoiw they put your hands in danger as they will hit first if you get car smacked. A bicycle was the culprit for my first break. First real ride with Look pedals. Had to stop fast as a car was moving on my right and traffic was moving across my "bow". Stoppped dead and no track stand possible. Wento over like a tree to my left, hand extended. Pow. I had only some change, was 8 or 9 miles from home, got a flat and had to eventully leave a message to be picked up at a motel when the pain was too much to reinflate the tire. Did I mention it was about 40 degrees?

The 233 outside of Lenin's tomb sounds like a fantastic idea. I've often thought about placing AFVs from other countries in front of landmarks where they don't belong. There is something compelling just about the juxtaposition that doesn't need any elaboration in the rest of the dio!
I've often thought about Panzers rolling through NC (see Panzer General 3's ending, for example!) and SC. When I get my tree skills honed up...

Marc... sorry to hear about your accident... that's gotta hurt!
Question for you... Don't you guys in Michigan have boo-coo snow on the ground? I always thought that winter (snow) and bicycles didn't mix.
Welcome aboard by the way...
P.S. I broke a wrist playing wiffle ball when I was a kid , and I blew out a knee playing co-ed volleyball.

Generally where I am we get bad snow for maybe one week. The rest of the time it's cold with no snow.

And to think I've only done simple things like:
1960 Wehrmacht Panther IIA2 (from the book Father land)
and now I'm working on a World War 2 era Confederate Army Longstreet Infantry tank inspired by Hary Turtledove's alternate Civil War series.
I may also convert an A7V into a US Army "barrel" from WW1 as it most closely matches the descriptions in the book.
