Hi Gang,

just got AFV Clubs turned brass 155 mm arty ammo. Now I wonder if the projectiles transported the same way (on 6-round wood pallets) like the older 155mm ammo or are there any special cases?

TIA

Hi H.H.

Looks like 8-pack pallets would be OK :

155mm ammo is transported on an 8-pack pallet. 203mm (8") ammo is transported on a 6-pack pallet. Both 155mm and 203mm rounds are in the AFV Club set.

The new brass set that Hans-Hermann bought is 155mm only.

Kurt, this illustrates why I said on ML last week that a pallet weighs far more than 850 lbs - because the way I always received them from the AHA is the way they're pictured here, in multiples married together onto what amount to a single pallet.

Yeah, that's the triple pallet currently used. In WW II (and in the bed of the truck model pictured on ML) there were only single pallets, which is what the discussion was about.

Hi H.H,

May I ask, how many rounds come in the set?

Thanks in advance,

Chris.
