Last time I checked, there was nothing by anybody in this department. Has anyone come up with anything since then?

In addition to the above ARVN Rangers, Dragon has a set of NVA Sappers, and a Viet Cong set that could be modified.

There is also a Vietnemese Local Fighter in their Vietnam Green Berets set, kneeling and firing a claymore.

Bravo 6 does some MACV SOG figures that could be modified as well.

They also have a bunch of Viet Cong figures.

Master Box has a Vietnamese LRRP in their Head for the Huey set too. He is the last guy in the rear turned around, throwing the smoke grenade.

There were some by Verlinden too.

That should get you started.

Hopefully any manufacture will produce some ARVN regular or Vietnamese Ranger Figures in the future. But i think US Army and Special Forces Figures are more of interest for the buyer and manufacture and so i don't think we will see some in the near future. The only ones are the mentioned from Dragon and these are Ranger Figures with for me false uniforms. All other are not usuable without much conversion work. The Uniforms of the regular ARVN were mainly US WW2 style or standard OD Greens. The Dragon Figures are ARVN RANGER Figures and so Tiger Stripe and camoflague ERDL style pattern would work too. The mentioned VC and NVA Figures have complete different Uniforms and Equipment. Also the Bravo-6 Figures wear different equipment and are not usuable as ARVN or Ranger Figures. You could use for example the old Korean war Figure set from Dragon and use the asian hornet head set. But you have to change the boots. To get small bodys for asian Figures you could cut some part of the legs to reduce height or use small Figures from Dragon like the MACV-SOG set. Also much work for the right Uniforms.

Hope it helps

Stefan
