It´s been a while since I posted some photo here, summer time was not so modeler friendly for me, but there was a fast awakening... By a Meng and their latest release - I´ve been waiting for it soo long...
I decided to do it in US Army marking, even when I am not able to find more that five pics or so... Weird...
So there it is - just a fast topic, I did it as a fast kick build - and the result will be photographed tommorrow.
The pit:
Tracks are great to work with - but it is very hard to connect them...
Piston rods were replaced by a aluminium polished ones - I don´t like to paint this

I can only see the first picture- the other two are red Xs. However, the work in the first pic is fantastic.

Very nice build Pavel. The interior shot looks fantastic. I like the finish, but the tracks appear to be very similar in colour to the vehicle. I would like to see them more "track colour" and contrast a little with the vehicle. Other than that, nice job.

Thanks Frank - what you mean by a "track color"? To be honest, I have not much US Army photos, and on some photos they look like generaly black, on some in color of the camo... Don´t know what is right, or the rule for coloring it.
I wanted it less dirty this time...

Hi Pavel,
I have seen a civilian D9 some years ago. The tracks are all bare metal with lots of dirt. I may suggest an iron color tone.
Cheers

Yes, it was on Eday Do I know you...neighbor??
Herman - yes, I know about a lot of style of colors - but I think original color was the body color - so I did only minor damage of this paint on tracks...

Here's some photos I took a few days ago of a D-6, the outside of the tracks polished up from the sandy soil, while the inside is a dark rusty brown:

Great images Jim ... the different tracks colour adds some colour contrast and makes the model more interesting.
