This is my work-in-progress of the Viper backpack robot, often used in conjunction with the Talon for IED discovery, although it can mount a mini UZI for ahem, other purposes. This one is equipped with a camera package, and the "scorpion tail" is installed, though the morphing wheels/tracks are not, as I'm still working on those. Figure is from my Tamiya M60A1 parts donor kit. Finger is from my functional (barely) hand.
The lens isn't made with any film for tank prisms or anything, it's an actual laser lens from a laptop DVD drive. It IS anti-laser coated. Nothing like realism.
Not to bad for one working eye, is it?

Cool little build!
The lazer lens from your DVD was anti-lazer coated? that might explain why it didn't work

That's a neat little project. Nice tip on outsourcing for accessories.
