Looking good, Dave!
Boy, you rip 'em out, too! I think the plastic was still warm from the molds when you got this one.
I'm gonna have to start following your builds over here in Russo-Sov Land, since I hardly ever just surf over to this forum.
I'll be looking forward to seeing this and your BRDM-2 next week.
Happy modeling!

Hiya David! Another T-90 is always a GOOD thing....Im in bro! Ill be honest, i shoulda waited for the Meng kit. The Zvezda kit isnt too bad, but there is alot they coulda done much better. The overall fit on my Zvezda T-90 has been real good, but the lack of PE and some lack of detail and a couple other little things has been a bit disappointing. Its still been a fun build and im really lookin forward to yours....keep it comin fella.

Dave,
I was really impressed by the tracks that you brought to our meeting. If Meng does as nice a job with their new Leo tracks, then that's gonna be one fine kit!
The rest of this T-90 is just about as impressive.
Meng sure has set the bar high!

Hey, Dave,
This is coming along very nicely. I'll be looking forward to getting a first-hand look at it next week at our club meeting.

Dave,
It's hard to tell from the pictures you posted, but the Duck Egg Green color chip on the instructions (or box?) appears to be more olive than your paint sample.
In these images of a T-90 on Prime Portal, the color does appear to be much closure to what your paint sample looks like, though. The color is paler or whiter in the first image, but my guess is either a flash was used or that it's fading from exposure to UV and weather. The hue in the second image actually looks pretty close to your painted sample, especially once you dull-coat it and add some light weathering.
So I guess it's up to your "eye".

Nice progress, Dave. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you have next week at our meeting.
In regards to the color, I wouldn't put too much trust in the accuracy of the colors shown in the instructions. The limitations of printing coupled with how commonly artist profiles are wrong probably means that the color profiles are only approximate at best.
I'd try to find more photos like Jeff has posted to judge the range of shades of the Duck Egg green. FWIW, I agree with Jeff's observation that you test piece looks a lot closer to the actual photo than the color profile in the instructions.

Dave,
Another couple images I saw recently from
a completed BMO-T posting on M-L :
To me, your Duck Egg Green is close, but your Russian Green is a little too dark.

Hi Guys;
IMHO Olive Drab, Sand Grey or Pale Sand, and Black. The Black sometimes looks like a Scale Black, the color can vary depending on which Region the vehicles operate in.

The BMOT sure would be nice in 1/35 setting next too the Tos-1. OH TRUMPETER
