Built this for the rise of the machines campaign and thought it might get more views if i posted it here now it's finished.
This what if model is set in time frame of the iraq war, the us are looking to uparmour the humvee due to losses suffered from IED's etc. am general start the mrap program on the surviving humvee fleet but the first few prototypes are top heavy and the armoured cabin proves too small. The mrap humvee program is cancelled infavour of specialised vehicles like the ATV.
Thanks to marko"skuki" for tips on the resin for the glass and the mud and dust from his ATV build.

Spoons that looks wickedly cool and absolutely awesome! I'd drive one! And I bet it flips a lot less than the M151 Mutts!

Makes me think of what might have happened had they combined the HMMWV ECV2 series and the Oshkosh TAK-4 suspension.

Oh yeah, there were definitely people who combined the HMMWV with the TAK-4 (and other independent suspensions as well), but not with the ECV2 series vehicles to my knowledge. The hood style on this what if reminds me more of the hood style of the ECV2 than the basic HMMWV.

Not a far-fetched idea at all. I remembered having seen something similar before and so googled found this page: http://oshkoshdefense.com/vehicles/hmmwv-with-tak-4/
