no real rules for the red paint. The better is using color pictures and make your model like the pic.

@ Bill. This is not spring but armed hydraulic lines. I make these lines with fuse or soldering wire from differemt diameter. At the time of this build i only wrap a thin wire around the biger.
Today (for the Buffalo, take a look at my Buff's post) I laminate the thin wire before wrapping it around the other.

These look fantastic! What color are you using for the first d9? In paticular the yellow?
