I'm coming back to modelling after after a few years. I'm going to be using Vallejo Model Air to airbrush camo patterns, then Humbrol Acrylics for general / detail painting. I also still have some enamels which will be utilised for certain areas mainly markings & internals.

Basically I've been searching the net for tips and everyone os different. Some say you airbrush Vallejo Air over same once dry / cured. Others say you need to treat each layer with varnish etc etc etc.

My issue is,the camo is as per above... what the best process to do it from start to finish. I'll be doing various aircraft & military vehicles. As I said confused and don't know whats best.

Any help?

While I have not used Vallejo Model Air, over the years I have used Humbrol, Floquil, Testors, Model Master, metalizer, enamel and acryl, Tamiya, PollyS, Gunze, Vallejo, Andrea, Citadel, and the new Italeri. I have sealed all of these for decals or a final flat coat with Testors Glooscote and Dullcote from an airbrush. I have never applied a barrier between colors, brands or types, i.e., acrylic, enamel or laquer, with no problems. l've appled them within minutes of each other in any order.
