Hello

My name is Hussein El Kaissy from Cairo-Egypt.
This is my first time to make a Scale model ever and attempt to make a diorama, but definitely not my Last!

I believe I might be among very rare few modelers who exist in my country if not even the only one who took this hobby, due to the lack of special tools and supplies for building models all my work is done by hand painting with regular brush and acrylics

I am more into subjects that deal with recent modern events more than historical scenes, this is the story of my first build.

For my first Subject I chose to depict some recent events that took place in Egypt on 30/06/2013 using an M1A2 Abrams TuskII tank from Tamiya and a base purchased from my friend Dimitris Karakatsanis (www.dioramania.com)

I appreciate your opinion and comments

Hussein

Welcome to the hobby Hussein,
It gets very addictive. For opinions and comments you'll need to supply photos. The idea is good.
Your a brave man to take on both,a first model and a diorama at once. All the best to Ya.Send pics.

Glad to see you here!

I model more up-to-date stuff as well-I was in elementary school when Desert Storm happened, and by the time of Iraqi Freedom I was helping, even if I didn't serve directly. We model those things important to us-and I would say you have a lot of things to model.

Also, don't feel bad, I'm a mostly brush painter as well. Spray cans or brushes only for the moment.

Hi, Hussein. Welcome to the site. You are not the only member, who lives in Egypt. Hisham stays pretty active. For uploading photos, I use Photobucket.com . I is pretty simple. You upload your photos, to the site. Then, you select the photo you want to post. At the right, there should appear a column of link scripts. Select "IMG". It will be copied automatically. Simple paste this link, in your thread. You can remove the [URL] tags and the top and bottom. Finish.
