Hello, I am trying to find 1/35 Lebel rifles. I have purchased "Masterclub Lebel family" but I am not sure that the bulk of the weapons are accurate...they appear to be too flimsy. Am I correct in thinking that? Are they accurate for 1/35?
Are there any other Lebels on the market?
Thanks in anticipation.
Tony

Hi Tony,
which model of Lebel are you looking for?
The french company Heller could well be the answer to your question. Have you checked on their kits??
Queensland and France are far apart, but maybe Ebay can help!?
Good luck
Cheers

Romain, thank you for your prompt reply. The Lebel model is the 8mm M1886/93. I have managed to acquire some from Scale link but they appear to be too bulky...HR products have them but i have never been successful in ordering from them...they never give a contact time to ring thro' to them to place an order.
I will try Heller, I have a couple of their old models but they only have the Artillery model Lebel.
Not to worry. It is not that important in the scheme of things...
Thanks again.

I would believe that the Masterclub ones are accurate, but perhaps since they are made in resin they might appear somewhat flimsy compared to plastic ones.
Now, other than that you have a couple of other alternatives. The old Airfix 1/32 foreign legionnaire has a Lebel rifle, but it could best be described as a little bulky. Also the french resin firm Propaganda Kompany has a resin set of 1/35 french ww2 infantry arms, which includes atleast one full length Lebel + maybe a carbine.

Tony, I checked out Propaganda Coy, pity they did not have the WW1 weapons in 1/35, however the WW2 set looks promising.
I will take your advice on the Model-club and see how I go with them. You are right about resin and comparisons to other mediums.Thank you for your time and input.
