Hi Everyone this is Hussein from Egypt.
This is my second model to make and my second Diorama using the BRDM-2 by cyber-hobby and the diorama base from www.dioramania.com, the scene is modern from our recent revolution in Egypt with Military police APC stationed at the outskirts of Egypt.
I appreciate your opinion and comments on possible improvements.
You can see the full MOVIE of the making on youtube here:

Here are some of the making steps:

I used real Mud and added it to my paint colors to obtain this effect

Since there are no Kits with Egyptian soldiers I used the German Tank crew kit and modified the outfit colors and shape and made their shorts into pants:

And This is the Final Result:

Thank you for watching

Hello Hussein,

That is a very nice diorama. Very good conversion of the figures.

My only criticism: Too much mud....on that vehicle. There
should be a very good layer of dust but not mud.

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe
Thanks for your message, appreciate the feedback
My idea with the mud was that when the BRDM comes out of our south canals it usually has the wheels covered with mud from the shore and then at high speed all that mud gets transferred to the body

That is just an amazing job. An your work will only get better from what I seen an this is your second diorama.I'm speechless I hope I can convert figures like that someday. I might ask you for some advice when I get into doing figures. Just impressive.

Happy modeling

Hello Hussein, very nice diorama! It's always good to see modern Middle East subjects. Your figure conversions are very creative and very well done. Mabrouk!

Great job, particularly the converted figures. A simple, effective diorama. I look forward to seeing your work again in future.
I have this kit too, and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with it.

Great job indeed my friend
As I can remember, you mentioned at our past conversation, you don't even have an airbrush - yet
So if I am correct, the job is greatest at these circumstances.
Keep modeling and buy a cheap airbrush to start exercising yourself.
Regards.

Thanks my friend,
I really want to buy an air brush, but to my surprise it doesn't exist in Egypt. Maybe I would buy one during my travel to Europe, but does it require any special supplies that I won't find here in Egypt? does it require special type of paint or can it take normal acrylic paint?
