This question from a novice: why do we need another version? Aren't the HB ones supposed to be correct?
Posted: Sunday, October 13, 2013 - 12:11 AM UTC
Hi Bill,
That's a two-parter.
First, the HB Leo 2 kits still have some issues, and...
Second, this isn't a Leo 2 - it's a Leo 1A4 (completely different-looking tank, sharing little more than a name with its Leo 2 replacement). The only other kits of this version are the ancient dreadful Tamiya rug-runner and the very adequate Italeri version. Despite the Italeri kit being fairly good (actually, great, for the late 70s!) it could still be out-done with today's technology. So we're all waiting to see what MENG brings to the party!
Hope this helps clear things up!

Thanks, I'm really a novice about Leopards, so that was very helpful.
