All:

I'm seeking guidance as to which Dragon / DML Panther ausf G kit would be best to build a ca 1944 "FLIVO" aircraft-control / coordination Panther (sometimes also known as SdKfz 268 and sometimes confused with BeobachtungsPanzer V -G)?

CyberHobby produced a "BefehlsPanther ausf G" white-box kit which offers options to build the 2-antenna "BefehlsPanther" (SdKfz 267, I think) or the 3-antenna (with tall mast) "FLIVO" tank. This appears to be a later G but without the chinned gun mantel, and is depicted supposedly representing an unk unit in Germany in 1945... In fact, I think it may have a new mantel part to represent some form of "up-armored" or reinforced chinless type?

My question really comes from the zimmerit issue... All G produced through AUG 1944 had zimm. Tanks were converted to FLIVO throughout the G production run, so I would expect that a mid- or later 1944 FLIVO would be zimm'd. The CH-WB kit is an option for a non-zimm'd FLIVO, but would need zimm added for an earlier tank.

I am thinking an easier route to get a zimm'd 1944 G FLIVO would be to modify the Dragon G with zimm kit 6384???

Any suggestions or opinions?

Bob
