Hey guys I'm in the final stages of my Pzkpfw III L build and have decided to try the brush and sponge chipping technique. My questions are as follows. What type of sponge should I use? What colors for the chips on a Dunkelgelb base with Olivegrun stripes?

You should use make up applicator sponges. The chips should be gray(Tamiya: German Grey; MM: Panzer Grey; not sure about other brands).

Eye shadow sponge applicators are perfect for chipping. I use a mix of Nato black and gun metal grey for chipping.

I find that the very small open cell foam that comes in electronics packing works best for me. Also, small sections of Scotch-Brite pad and those disposable foam paintbrushes. My favorite color, especially for Dunkelgelb, is NATO Black.
