I guess that begs the question...what are the differences between the "early" and "late" versions?

It will be something else that will languish in your collection of unstarted models...
Just kidding

Since the Achzarit is based on the T-55 it would be a good idea to bring on a new T-54/55/67/69 series.
The CAD work is already done for the tracks, running gear and lower hull (plus or minus).
Think about it.

Lets hope some aftermarket companies do some upgrade sets i.e Drive sprocket for the Merkava 2 track,armored cupolas,there are a couple of different types,tow horns and 50 Cal OWS. I plan to model a Hatap (field workshop) version.

Very nice trend that Meng has developed - They seem to be spreading their AFV kit nationalities and time-periods up quite a bit.
Modern Russian / Soviet, modern German, Israeli, modern and historic French - quite an eclectic mix. It seems like you can't pigeon hole Meng or predict what they're going to release next.
I hope they keep surprising us!

Dear Santa MENG,
Ive been a good and faithful modeler/purchaser of your products all year. I love all the creative armor coming out.
I only have 1 wish on my list. Could you possibly entertain and maybe do the South African G-6 Mobile Artillery system ?
Thank you.

Hi Everyone;
I Don't think well see too much more in the way of the T-55, the Tamiya Base kit gave you enough versions for most Mks; ! And what else is there really, now we have the Enigma, a Israeli Mk; and Mengs Achzarit ! Is the BTRT Popular enough too warrant a kit. I think well see the T-54, T-44, and the T-10s in the Future, at least I Hope So. And what else is there in the way of another Paper panzer, were the Obj;279s a Block Buster ? Did the AT-1 that's based on the T-62 Break Sales records. The Achzarit looks like its going too be a real nice kit, but will it Draw much Fanfare away from the T-72s, I don't think so.
If we really have an Input with the Manufactures then the most Whishes that were conveying is the T-44,54, and the T-10. But whats on the Drawing Boards is Fun too Think About
HAPPY MODELING; MIKE.

Hi Guys;
E-bay has the Achzarit listed for 40.00$, which seems like quite a deal. I thought it was going too be over 50.00$.
Sure Glad that I changed my mind on the Legend kit !
CHEERS; MIKE.

Yep, had mine on pre-order at Hobbyeasy since it was announced. The order status has changed to "ready to ship", which is great news.
I've ordered both new titles on the Achzarit (so I can compare), and have leave coming up after a series of night shifts... Christmas came early this year!
But it does mean that my Legend's kit is now a distance second, "also ran" kit in the stash.
