Worth mentioning that the same molding flaw existed in the tires for the KraZ-214, and doesn't seem to have stopped people from building them.

Dang, didn't mean to hit return there - the vacform "tarp" in the 214 kit is actually meant as a former to shape a paper or fabric tarp. So if you've done the 214 and created a tarp without destroying the former, it should be possible to re-use the vacform for the 255. Returning to the subject of tires - I'm planning to use the vinyl tires for both kits, despite always preferring resin if I can get it, simply because the only resin tires available are so pricy. If somebody like DEF did a set, I'd be very tempted though.

Darren, thanks again for your help with the reviews.

Al, thanks for the information. It's good to know. I agree that the tires are quite usable, and the seamline down the center is minimal and can be easily removed. I will put them on my build.

I forgot to add in the review that online prices went as low as $42.00 US before shipping from Roden's model kit store, so look around for the best deal.
