I wonder how the 47mm compares to Dragons? Nice looking Tony.

This is a great model, I love all the interior detailing and the paint scheme looks very good. I am used to building German armour so the layout of this vehicle seems a little strange
There is a aftermarket barrel available but I would not bother as yours looks great

Hi Ya Bear how's life treating you buddy?
It's a great kit, i've really enjoyed building this one.
Steven after a test fit of the barrel halves I never gave an AM barrel a thought.
Strange layout, the chassis is French not German all the Germans did was recycle the captured French 35R.
Back to the bench, still have lots to do.
Thanks for dropping by the shop

Looks like you had no major problem with the tracks..thats nice to see! The T-26 tracks leave alot to be desired from what I understand.

I had a little mishap while taking the picture of the engine room shown above Scott.
I had to place the light down pretty close over the ammo bin.
I knew dark paint absorbs heat and the plastic was very thin so I took the photo very quickly but as it turned out not fast enough.
Needless to say it took the wind right out of my sails so I put it back in the box and placed it in a dust free draw for ten days while I worked on my M-43.
Sunday I got it back out and fixed the damage.
It is now on the bench while the Future coat dries in preparation for the decals.
I think i'll get some LED lights
I shall retutn

I just picked up this kit yesterday from my LHS and I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I've wanted one of these vehicles ever since I saw a pic of an abandoned one in Normandy. This is a good kit, but with a bit more R+D from Hobby Boss, it could have been a great kit. My main criticism is the last generation type gun barrel - breech, barrel, and recuperator assembly in two halves which require careful trimming, cleaning, glueing, and sanding for a good finish. It would have been much better if the breech, barrel, and recuperator were molded as separate parts with more bits to hold everything together - more parts but a better model. The new welded superstructure has no weld beads - just a raised line where the plates meet. At least adding the beads is a simple thing to do, but also simple for HB to have done in the first place! The ammo storage bin is nicely detailed, but is completely empty with just open holes where the rounds should be inserted, and no separate rounds. I shall have to look for 2mm dia. PE disks to glue over the holes to simulate the cartridge ends. The instructions sheet is not overly complicated, but looks like HB was in a rush in the final steps 19 and 20 where they didn't number the two access doors G-15, and G-17 - they are handed so you have to examine them to make sure which side is which. And finally, there are a series of 8 vertical retaining bars (nos. H-1) on the ammo bin. They are shown in the illustration, but again no mention of them or their number. The vehicle obviously comes from the famous "Unknown Unit", as no division sign comes with the decal sheet. I am by no means bashing HB or this kit - with a bit of TLC, extra work, and added bits it will be a very good model.
