Hi,
I was going to make a flag using the Archer Transfers British Flag (AR 35015) when I hit a huge snag!
The flag was purchased in the last few weeks so its not very old.
When I gently tried to remove the transfer film with the flag on it away from the backing paper the damn thing tore & left lumps of the flag on the backing paper rendering all the fairly expensive flags useless!
This is not the first time this has happened to me. I often have this problem with my stash of Archer transfers.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a way you can release the transfers which get stuck to the backing paper?
I live in the UK so returning the transfers to Archer is not really economically viable for me.
Please help!
Joe.

Drop them a line and I think you'll be surprised at their great customer service. I've gotten bad transfers before from them, and they've been great with replacements.

Hi Joe,
There are some tutorials on the Archers site that will help you check the process. Have a read of those and see how they compare to your drill.
Archers are very good and will most probably replace the item.
Cheers

The same thing happened to me with Archer's Brit flags. I followed their protocol, but I think the flag was just too large and perhaps I did not apply the same ammount of pressure on the entire transfer. Some smaller pieces of the flag were left on the backing film.
Perhaps it would be easier to make waterslide decals from the flags instead of using them as a regular transfer.
