I am wanting to do and early sd.kfz.7 in the camo scheme shown below. However, I don't know from which theater or time frame it is.

Hi Matt,
hard to tell without any unit markings... there is something written on the side, can you provide a better shot of that?
Right now I can just tell it was painted this way after ī43, seems like it saw action on the western front, but thats just guessing, I could also be eastern front...

Looks like a viking ship at the side, doesn't it?

Here are some more photos. I would like to go the route of a truck towing and 10cm sf 18. However, I could do the troop transport, but am unsure if the Dragon half tracks would be uniformed properly.

thats a real headscratcher
Have never seen this Symbol, and canīt read the the last few letters... Maybe theyīre just fooling us, and there is no sense in it
but you can still use it for the sFH 18

It appears to be Russian script. However, I doubt they would have painted any unit markings on a captured half track.
Are there any decal sets that would be appropriate for a half-track on the Eastern Front? I am looking for one deployed as an artillery tractor.

I canīt provide a decal set, but you should have a look for something like this: (tactical marking for a motorized sFH), the 10 might be the vehicle or unit number

Thank you, Fabian. I have someone who can print white decals for me. I think I can get the correct markings, from the link you provided.

Hi Matt,
Maybe, Archer may have a solution for you: try Archer 77024 German tactical signs.
Good luck,
P

According to the following link, most of the sd.kfz. 7 8ton half-tracks lacked insignia beyond the license plate. Perhaps Trumpeter just took the liberty of making one up. I have some Tamiya decals for the sd.kfz.7, as it was seen on the Eastern Front. None of these appear on the History Forum or the Archer decals.
