Morning troops!
Quick question on the load out for this SAAF T-72m. From what I see on the news, the biggest threat to Syrian armour from rebels are RPG's and Recoiless Rifles, why are there so many of what looks like AT rounds. One would think HE and anti pers rounds would be more useful.

Maybe that's all they have access to ? By the way, that looks like an M1 rather than an M .

That was my fisrt thought as well, load up whatever is available.
What are the differences between M1 and M?

based on just what can be seen in your photo, namely the turret, the M1 sports additional armor on the turret face on either side of the gun. Sometimes difficult to pick out based on the angle of the picture but a dead givaway is the undercut right below the wiring conduit for the SGLs. This looks to be a turned (machined) surface that I imagine is put on when the race is machined in and I wonder if it's solely for ID purposes.
