Aloha comrads,
Finally some new pics of my progress on the Achilles Mk IIc.
I've removed the tubes because they were the wrong size (thanks for the tip).
I've finished the lower hull. The suspension really works.
The upper hull is also ready but the tools are left of prior to painting.
I'm now working on the copula.
More to follow.
Any comments are welcome.

Very cool - you CAN see the dials in there - well done.
Two things I think I see. Inside the boogie assembly track guide I think I see a seam line inside the loop at the top. The lift ring next to the puttied light guard in the 2nd to last image looks as if it could use a spot of putty itself.
Both things are photo limited - so take it with a grain of salt.
Nice job so far.....

Dirk
Outstanding piece . Looks like its coming along real well. One question if I can, how did you do the gage faces ? They look great and I'm in the process of trying to come up with a way to make some.

That has to be the AFV Club Achilles, thereare some details on it that the Academy kit doesn't have... On balance, the detail is much finer than on the Academy kit... The hinges on the front hatches are better than on the Academy one.... Definite food for thought.... Jim

Aloha,
Thanx for the comments,
Scott,
I will put some putty on it. Didn't see it.
Harry,
Don't know what you mean by the gaage faces but everything is straight out the box.
Jim,
Indeed, it is the AFV Club Achilles.
