I have completed my attempt at a USSOCOM GMV, aka Dumvee. I don’t know the derivation of Dumvee from Humvee, but I’ve seen the term in reference to a well armed patrol vehicle used by Special Ops forces.
The parts used are as follows with paints from Vallejo and AK Interactive. Weathering was done with AK products and old school pastel chalks. The wheels were designed to be used with a Tamiya Humvee and have posts in the wheels. The Academy kit has posts on the drive shafts. I had to remove the posts and drill holes to accommodate the wheels. This allowed me to adjust the holes to get thewheels level. Unfortunately, when applying the ground work, I added more water than I normally would so the surface would be easier to work. This caused the first warped base on decades. That meant the nice level wheel, needed to be shored up from below with more ballast, epoxy glue, water effects and othe products.

Jeff, yes, I have several Special Forces guys and left space on the base for them.

The kit took a first yesterday at Baycon in the scratch. vac and conversion armor class.

Sorry for being honest, but for me there are some little faults, which make this model weaker than it seemed at first glance:
- the C pillar is glued at an odd angle;
- the 'barriers' on both sides of cargo area, which are mounted to the C pillar, are too short. Maybe the reason was that they're measured to fix a Tamiya's Humvee, not Academy (the Academy's one is little bit bigger). And this mentioned angle of glueing the pillar probably deepened this effect: front points of glueing these 'barriers' were moved to the front;
- old style mirrors;
- wrong type of seats bases;
- interior details, which are just weak in Academy's Humvees.
But, again to be honest, this model is quite good. I like all this additional stuff an weapons. And I think, that this Dumvee deserves better photos

Very nice model, but for me there needs to be a bit of a reality check.
Bedrolls - most infantry keep all of their personal kit in their ruck - especially rucks as packed out as those on the sides of your model.
Infantry and especially SF troops are going to be even more sensitive to carried weight than most mounted combat arms, because you could be back to pounding the ground at a moments notice.
A pintle mounted gun is going to be in 7.62 as a minimum - look to another M240 or maybe a .50 up top.
The stuff I'd look to for kitting out a vehicle such as this:
