Alan McNeilly takes a lot at the new GBS WW1 6 inch Howitzer Diorama base from Resicast. These should be available from early November at this years Telford Model Show, or directly through Resicast.

These are both nice bases, but I think I like this one a little better.

The variety in textures and details with the rubbled brick wall and the duck boards for the gun add a lot of visual interest to this base.

Shell reference, probably WW2 but I think the marking were the same for WW1.



There is a nice bit of footage that accompanies this picture of the tiles falling off the roof of the barn!

Crect Al. The shells remained pretty much the same. The bagged charge differed tp increase the range, hence the changes to the range / sight mechanism.
