Well its a start.. :-) Im working from scratch on the house frontage and think it may
be too wide. All i have to go on is photos.. the Stug hull is 6" and the width of the
house frontage is 6.5"..... seems a bit wide.. may try and slim it by an inch or so..
Will keep going on the house and spend some time studying the Stug directions.

Kancali,
that definitely looks like a good start!
The base is going to be huge and it will offer the chance to show off many building techniques from groundwork to scratchbuilding no doubt!
What´s the story in this dio? A single vehicle with some figures passing through?
Just looking at the size of your base, it wouldn´t surprise me to see more vehicles in the scene...
Keep up the work and show us the progress!

Cheers,
Toni

Well,

I can only add "Nice Start" to what already has been said. I would love to hear the story behind this scene. Maybe it's a good idea to post a reference picture in that first post too, this gives visitors a chance to compare things.

Good start Chris !!! Keep us posted with regular updates.

Nice start. I like the overall shape of the house. Do you have a 'sample' house you are going from? If not I would explore opening up the sides of the porch. Leave a post at each corner, maybe a small rail on the sides?

One thing I've learned over the projects is to try to reduce the 'repeat' factor. The wall has the same 'gap' in it. I would recommend that you modify the gap by adding putty or removing other portions. Or reveres one so the gap is on the outside. It will break up the views experience and it won't be as prominent.

Thanks for the responses and input. The reference photo is in my gallery (oosterbeek)
and i should have mentioned that in my post .. rats!!! I will try to use pic in pic on future
posts so its easier for members to see the progression.. Roger the point on the wall
gaps - they are temps that i put in to be able to check the street grade..
The size of the dio is alot bigger and a lot more linear than i had planned on because
I didnt plan it from the ground..Main focus is to capture the photo and its taking alot
of space to get it all in.. I forsee reductions in the actual size of the base as it progresses.
Thanks again... Chris
