I don't suppose you have any contacts to dealers? I was looking awhile back and wasn't able to find anyone that still carried any.

Well, why go resin when the Tamiya 1/16 Injection molded Tiger 1 is quite simply the finest model of a Tiger tank that you can buy. It can be had for about $300 through mail order or your local friendly hobby shop. Add the $200 Aber Tiger Super Set, and for the $500 you will spend on a Verlinden resin tank, you will have the parts to do a museum quality Tiger 1 in 120 mm. If you are really ambitious, you could also buy the Tamiya King Tiger in 1/16 scale and then use the steel wheels and spares to make a late production Tiger 1.

Verlinden made a big Tiger 1 as well, but it is multimedia, is apparently a @#$%# to build, and is 1/15 scale. Also, it costs between $500 and $600. Bandai also did a 1/15 scale Tiger, but I have never seen one, and the kit is quite old...

I am not sure if a Stug is available or not. Verlinden also made a 1/15 Panzer III, perhaps someone made a resin conversion???

HTH,

Scott Gentry

Well, going into this deal I was under the impression that resin would be a better model overall but after a few nights of research I would have to agree with you....at least as far as what everyone and everthing is saying. Thanks for the info. I think you've definitely set me on the right path.
As for the link provided by SlapHead...thanks for the good reading! I'd have to agree with most of those folks. Verlinden really impressed me with their figures back 10-12 years ago and I've felt a bit of loyalty towards them as a result. But since I recently came out of modelling retirement, I've definitley been more impressed by others aftermarket brands....primarily Warriors. Those guys rock!
