painting over applied pigment

I'm assuming that the pigment will get picked up and mixed in with the paint. haven't dull coated. got a little too liberal with life color's IDF set. a bit too much Lebanon dust. they're IDF green is a damn near perfect match for some pix I've seen

I'm not sure what your question is. If you paint over pigment, you will get a rough finish.

hmmm..., picked up in that the pigment will become mixed with the paint and creating a different unintended color. it tank'll be brush painted so I expect some pigment will get collected into the brush

Are you just looking to remove pigment or do you need to change the color?

neither, kinda. just wanna repaint and start over with the pigment, but not use quite as much. unless there's a way to remove pigment w/out affecting the paint

edit: just did a test patch on an unused painted part and yeah, the pigment did get mixed in with the paint lightening the color a bit
