.....and Females. We've had new tool FT17's and we're getting a St Chamond which is fantastic - but if no manufacturer jumps on the WW1 bandwagon and does the most famous of all the WW1 tanks for the Centenary then they're missing out.

The old Emhar kits are well past their sell by date and I don't think there's a WW1 tank modeller who would disagree with that statement..

NOW is the ideal time to do these important pieces of tank history. The first ever tanks to be used in combat!

If you don't have a problem with using Facebook, why don't you go to MENG's page and suggest that to them? They're pretty nice about accepting suggestions. Whether they'll actually do it or not.. I'm not sure.. but they're nice about it I make suggestion to them all the time.. maybe on actually gets done

I advice you to take contact with meng too, either via facebook or their contact email. Last week I wrote them an email to make the suggestion of doing an amx-10 rcr kit, and was replied that my suggestion was sent to the developping department for consideration. That's pretty a awesome answer coming from a company ! I think that if you make your point and give them good reasons to make a kit it might give you more chances to be listened to that if you just write them to do "this kit or this kit".

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm not signed up with Facebook but I'll contact them through their website.

Thought I'd start a thread on here as well though as maybe they do read sites like this also.

I went ahead and made a request/reply on their Facebook page for a MK IV.

One of my favorites too.

That Takom St. Chamond looks interesting. Never had anything from Takom before. Any comments on their quality and accuracy?

I saw Jeff Stringer's request on MENG's Facebook page.. Now, usually when I, or anyone else, makes a request or a suggestion, they just reply with a polite comment saying "Thank you for your suggestion".. but with Jeff's request they just "liked" his post.. I have a feeling that might mean that this is something they are already working on! Well, I hope so for your sake

The only kit I've seen is their 1/16 FT17 which looks like a great kit.

Not if the list is complete, no.

But, to go off topic for a moment and risk hijacking the thread, there are some really interesting subjects in there. quarter scale Supermarine Attacker and 4 versions of the Skywarrior? The Soviet 152mm SP on KV chassis??? 1/200 battleships!!! My ghod, those things will be 4 feet long!

And a range of 1/200, 1/144, 1/250 and 1/700 aircraft to go with the ships. Very interesting stuff.

Now back to our regularly scheduled moaning about the lack of a Mk IV tank.

But that looks no better than the old Airfix kit. It's got those horrid rubber tracks for a start.
