Hey Rob, real informative review. I would not have realized the problems with the gun shields ect. without your comments here. The last Tamiya jeep I P/U was about 9 years ago and was just the jeep. Just goes to show that research is a very important part of model building, without it you can go very wrong. The up on this kit seems to be the abundance of variuos weapons. I'll be P/U this kit just for the ability to have the Vicker guns for my Vosper. And with some RESERCH, and T.L.C. have a S.A.S. N.W.E. jeep to add to the collection. Thanks again for a real good review and the ups and downs. Bob

Thanks for publishing this Darren, and to KitMaker Network for the chance to review this.
Thanks Bob, i'm pleased you found it useful.
One can certainly put together a decent enough SAS Jeep from this kit, its just frustrating that DML make silly errors. I'll be starting a build log on this very soon.

Got to give credit when it's due. Excellent review so excellent credit to you. Seems to me D.M.L. is only putting 1/2 effort into a lot of things lately. I'll see when I P/U my Japonese troops tomarrow. Pic's showed how tough it will be to make them usable and the B.E.F. will get P/U also. I think more time on thieir end would result in better figures ect. Still, it's the availability of them that sells them. As per your review, a bit of plastic and work should result in a rather good looking jeep. And the spares will be very helpfull.
