anyone know definitively just what color it's supposed to be? I read it's red and that it's not. saw vids where it's red, but is that a result of the camera? mine aren't assembled yet, but are painted a mix of testors acryl flat aircraft interior black and clear red. those, btw, gave me the same color as skp's IR lenses, a kind of dark burgundy. thx

yeah, that's what I did with the testors. might have to make it a bit more red, as in the pic. I painted on the inside so at least I can redo it on the outside thx

Start with clear red, maybe with a little yellow as the "color" looks a bit orange to me. Then back the clear with darker colors and silver for the lighter spots, try it on a spare piece of clear, but you can get pretty good effects by layering.

It just depends if it's on or off. When the light is on, I would say it's red.

Hi Guys;

The Infared Spectrum is Invisible Too the Human Eye, so if you were looking thru a Infared viewer then it would be seen with the red glow. The Emitters would appear clear with a Hint of Black when looking at them with the Naked eye. Camera Lenses are Coated Optics and High-lite the emitters, Altho Depending on the Position of the Camera they will not always give off the red signature.
This Defensive measure is Not 100% effective and has a High Heat signature, which is why it has all the Heat sinks
on the out-side of the Boxes.
CHEERS; MIKE.
