Would a model of the M37 105mm HMC and M41 155mm HMC sell really well? For those who don't know those designations The M37 was an SP 105mm howitzer on the M24 Chaffe hull and the M41 was an SP 155mm howitzer(short barrel) again on the M24 hull
I am thinking of sending an e-mail to Italeri asking them if they would be intersested in making them Those two were used during the Korean War I figure the chances are somewhat good Italeri has The M24 and the 105mm howitzer in production As far as I know the still have the molds for the 155 mm howitzer
Italeri usually makes a family of a certain vehicle Please let me know what ya'll think #:-) (++)

Well - I'd buy several of both if Italeri did them.
The M37 would be great - I shoot pics every time I go up to the MVTF Collection here. The CMK M41 is, expensive, rough in casting, and difficult to build - placing it outside the range/desire of the normal modeler. A plastic one would be equally appealing.
My thoughts...

I believe both the M 37 and M 41 would be winners , as would an M 19. Much better alternatives than expensive , heavy resin . Best of all, they'd not be another Tiger

COMMANDERS models made the M41 in resin 1/35. It was called M41 Godzilla
the M37 has not been kitted, but I saw a scratch built model @ AMPS 01 in MD.

I haven't seen the Commanders version of the M41 - but would like to. The CMK version isn't worth the +$100 asking price...
I'd like to see a good M37 though it's service life was short...

Italeri would have some additional work to do for a M37. As far as I know, it was fitted with a M4 howitzer (like the USMC Sherman dozers in Korea) not a M1A2 howitzer (like the M7 Priest) . This (among other things) has made me drop the idea of a scratchbuilt M37...But maybe I am too lazy
Anyway I would happily buy such a kit !

You bet I would buy them ! I build more SP guns then any other armor. Well collect any way. I'm sure they would be good sellers, and Italeri would be a good company to whisper to!

M41:
Well for the M41, a lot of the work is already done for you from Italeri. You buy the M1 155mm howitzer, the M24 Chaffee( reissued), and dig out the evergreen sheet. If this isnt a
NO BRAINER I dont know what is. OH YOU SAY "NO REFERANCE". Well a Gentleman posted a feature article in FSM, that he built and did the exact same conversion. He supplied scale Dwg's and all. It was quite a good article.
NOW the M37 is another story.:
start with the Italeri M24 add some M7 priest parts, The Howitzer from JR, the breach from Tamiya, and some Evergreen. Deffinately more work than the M41, but HEY whats modelling about. YOU CANT ALWAYS shake and bake. TODD

ZOD,
Well I have 3 155mm kits of my own, and I know where 2 more are @ the local hobbyshop , so we're good.
Actually I want one of my kits for a 4.5 " us artillery piece. Not much scratch or rebuild necassary there. Just a Barrel.
