Just did a Yahoo search for "Brummbar images" and came up with quite a few different ones. Unfortunately, it seems most of the original ones posted were shot from the front, so the wheel storage is not visible. The 3 museum tanks that showed up in the selection all had similar rear "wire" mounts.

The Aberdeen Brummbar is here at Ft. Sill and has been externally restored. I don't have a shot directly from the rear, but this shows how the wheels rest on the tube frame racks.

The reason i ask is the Dragon Sturm panzer IV in early has two options, one like the APG/Fort Sill brummbar, and one sort of like the Saumer brummbar.
I was wondering if there was any different types also.

Both "4-wheel" and "2-wheel" spare arrangements on the rear plate are legit on StuPa IV.
The "4" set seems to have been more a feature of the early (fruhe) series vehicles. There are but few clear pics showing the rear of these things, but a very cool shop pic of 2 fruhe shows up here:

A few other pics garnered from a "sturmpanzer IV" Bing search support the maybe more-frequent "fruhe" association with 4 wheel sets and the appropriate racks.
The racks themselves were probably some small shop job and a small company assembled runs of these - with the 2-wheel set and rack style becoming relatively common and "standard" on later "IV-based" vehicles. I'm fairly convinced by lack of photos showing it that the double-mount rack was rather less than common outside of the early StuPa run.
Seems to me this may be in part an outcome of recognized less need for many spare wheels, as the Germans were no longer advancing and there was less need to carry lots of wheels which could be replaced after break-down in an advancing column. (Spares are much less useful for those retreating... blow a wheel and find yourself stopped means most likely losing the vehicle.) But I'm just reasoning and guessing, here!

I'm probably just going to use the dual wheel set up.
The dragon single wheel version doesn't mount like the Saumer version.
Probably did it like they did to make extra support for the wheel. Plus Dragon never gets thier instruction correct anyways.
