Guys, does anyone have the dimensions of the LRDG "sand mats" (think that is what the perforated metal plates were - used to get bogged-down vehicles out of sand - put under hweels etc...). would like to ut some "liberated" ones on my DAK sd.kfz.222 to show one that the DAK experimented with to provide desert recon (am assuming here that the DAK didn have their own equivalent 0 if they did anyone got pics/dimensions)...

I know the ubiquitous LRDG "Pink Panther" from Tamiya has them but think I can scratch them quite easily....

Maybe you could use specs for a 1/6th scale sand channel as a start ?

On a side note, Hauler makes some nice looking PE ones (#35013)...so it's up to you
