I was wondering (and so was Kurt Holokai ) if there was any aftermarket 1/35th scale ERA set available for the the YPR-765 as used by the Dutch Army in Afghanistan :
I've seen many pics showing YPRs with the ERA removed, with only the mounting plates left in place (I've found your picture online Kurt ) :
At least that's what I think these plates are...
TIA

Hi Frenchie,
I asked the same question a while back. I think somebody told me that the MR Modelbau swiss M113 set( see link below) is very similar.

Hi Paul
Thanks for your reply, but I'm afraid the MR set wouldn't do the trick...
Just compare this one to the one in my original post :
I guess I'll just put this project back on the backburner for the time being....I'm not in a hurry

Hello,
The add-on armour on the YPR, looks similar to the armour
on the FV 432 BULLDOG.
AFAIK only one company making the BULLDOG in 1/35 is
cromwell .......

Hi!
Is this reactive armour on the YPR 765 maybe related to the additional armour on AAVP7A1 RAM/RS? This one exists on a Hobby Boss model. Just a guess...
As said before, the swiss add on armour (also used by Denmark) which is reproduced by MR is quite different as can be seen on the picture supplied in this post. This type is not reactive. It is only bent steel plate to detonate incoming rounds before they hit the hull body.

I'd say the closest you will get is the HKCW or Goffy Models or Terre Models Israeli M113 EAAK conversion sets...but the armour is in a different configuration.
