Apparently you have to paint it over acrylic paint to have it cracked; but nothing happens... does it have to be wet (but then you remove the original paint), semi-dry, dry? Should it be pained OVER? (I had artist cracking mediums, and they had to be painted over...)
So far not much luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Andras, from the website:
A medium which is used between two layers of acrylic color, or on the transparent Crackle Base 161 to produce a crackled surface.
Sounds like you need to apply a basecoat, crackle medium and then a topcoat which will give the effect. I have not used the Vallejo product, although like you have tried other cracking mediums and always had to apply the first color, the medium and then the top coat which I wanted "cracked". The basecoat will show through the cracked topcoat.

Dear James,
Yeah, this is what it says, but it does not do it... I tried to paint it thick, tried to paint it thin -not a crack. I was hoping there's a secret somewhere.

Will do. Perhaps it needs airbrusing? (That would be unfortunate.)

Ok, sounds like we have the right process. Thanks to Eugenie for the confirmation
From Vallejo's FAQ's:
11.15. How do I apply Crackle Medium? The transparent Crackle Medium works between two acrylic colors. It is applied to the surface of the base acrylic color; when the Medium has dried to a slightly tacky film - depending on humidity in the air, perhaps after 30 minutes - the second, top color is applied; when this color dries, cracks will appear and the bottom color will show through the cracks. If you want to crackle an already existing surface, apply our transparent Matt Medium (Ref. 70.540) as a base coat; when this has dried, apply Crackle Medium and finally the top color.
And for anyone that has not read through this answer filled document you can find it here:

Hope this helps Andras.

I hate when info is hidden in plain sight
Looks like a bit of experimentation with drying time is needed, thanks.
