I just received the Academy magach 6B Gal batash today. The isntruction pages are poor and there is no colour scheme illustration.
On the pics I found I couldn't see is there is any anti slip coating on this version.
Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks

Are there any pics showing it clearly?
I haven't found any, especially about the covered areas.

Magach Gal Batash is a very rare machine. There are no high quality pictures or walkaround pictures in the web. The only way to see the details of this monster is to buy mr. M. Mass book "Magach 6B and Gal Batash" from Desert Eagle Publishing.
Magach 6B Gal Batash have the antislip surfaces on all add-on armour modules.
This is my model, all black surfaces are the antislip coat:

Thank you Bartek!
What did you use? Is it texture paint?

Yes, I used exactly this anti-slip aerosol:

Try Desert Eagle Publishing no. 4 "Magash 6B Gal and Gal Batash, M60A1 in IDF Service Part 2", IDF Armor Series by Michael Mass. It has good pictures showing the anti-slip coating.

I found some pics here : http://www.idf-modelling.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=149 Some seem to have no anti slip, or it is so thin it can't be seen?

As I said, there are no good quality pictures of Gal Batash in the web, pictures from the link are no exception. But on some of these pictures anti-slip coat is clearly visible. Anti slip surfaces on Gal Batash are a little bit thin, so on some photos it can't be seen. On the pictures In M. Mass book all Gal Batash tanks have anti-slip surfaces, including Gal Batash prototype. If You want to build an accurate model, this book is highly recommended, becouse Academy kit have some errors.

Yes, they definitely had anti-slip on those large side areas!

I'm convinced. I will try it with gloss varnish and fine sand.

rather than that, you could try a thinned down Tamiya texture paint soil effect. it's rather gritty. haven't tried it meself ,as my Merk4 already had antislip molded on, but it should work out fine. might try this when mine own Gal Batash gets here

If you are in the USA or near a Home Depot there is a Martha Stewart texture metallic paint that is acrylic and pretty close to scale for 1/35 anti slip coating. Less for US and Nato allies, more for IDF stuff. Cleans up with water and can be brushed on by hand, so no need to mask. Cheers.

Go to a craft store and get some embossing powder, used to make applique designs on material. I found some online at Joann's Craft Center, in the US.
Use either varnish or Future to stick the power to the kit. No masking is needed for this method. One recommendation is to get a strainer or the like to get a more even application of the powder to the model's surface. The surface will be a bit fragile, and mistakes can be cleaned up easily. Apply a primer topcoat to seal the surface once it is to your liking
The "granular" surface of the Israeli tanks is replicated perfectly with this method, which came to me via a posting by Kev on IDF-Modelling.com.

Thank you folks but it's kinda too late, I've applied the sand and overpainted it. It looks a little thick I think...
I will post some pics next week when it's done. I surely will keep all these advices for my next IDF built (this one is my second after a meng's Merkava)

Nice looking kit! Another advice for antislip is the Rough Casting&Antiskid product of true earth!

Anyway nice built! What color did you use?
