Wandering over from Model Shipwrights (where I've been gone for the past few years lol)...
Tamiya kit with Tamiya zimmerit, Jordi barrel, voyager screens. As a personal challenge, the figure is box stock from 1993 with his original injection molded head (no resin head swap), painted in oils. I'm happy with the result considering the figure's soft detail.
Shot in natural sunset lighting for added atmosphere and mood. Won a Gold in dioramas at Penncon 2013 and then given to my father as a gift (he made the base out of oak and gave it to me, so I re-gifted it back lol).

Wonderful work. What did you use for the snow?

Thanks! Gah, I always forget to mention what the snow is. It's Woodland Scenics mixed with water and PVA and a few drops of white acrylic (Tamiya).
