This is just an out-of-box review of the Takom St. Chamond in 1/35 scale. There are 7 sprues, 5 in light tan and 2 in black for the individual link tracks. There is some light flash but nothing major, in fact, there are a number of small parts that are remarkably well done particularly the coupola rings and suspension yokes.
The track links are fairly small (15mm x 9mm) and the connectors even smaller (3mm x 10mm). There is a small sheet of decals and a 22 page instruction booklet broken down into 43 assembly steps using standard type exploded drawings.
Given the massive blocky look of this tank, the suspension and torsion arms are actually quite delicate. I'd recommend displaying this one on a mirror to see all the detail underneath. Details on the figurine are a bit soft but it's nice to have one included. All in all a nice kit and a good buy at about $55 online in the US.
I'll be glad to post detailed photos of any particular parts if you're interested. Enjoy!
Rick

Thank you Rick.
I wasn't interested in WWI tanks until I saw this one.
It does look rather appealing.

I totally agree. This and the FT-17 make me want to explore building some WWI subjects

Thanks for posting up the pictures, Rgeraci.
Please start up a blog when you build it. It'll be very nice to see how this kit builds up.
It's definitely on my "to get list."
Happy modeling!

Great stuff. One thing though........is it just me or do Takom have more sprue attachments on their track links than other manufacturers?
Their FT17 is the same....

the RPM FT17 only has 2 sprue attachments on the main links..
