Accurate armour makes one in 1/35:

Hobby Fan also made another transporter, but I don't think it is an oshkosh transporter.

The M1070 HET, what a great piece of equipment, about 74 feet long (25 meters) with trailer. Sure hope someone (I'm looking at you Trumpeter) does one in styrene....

The accurate armor kit runs about $400 USD.

We used to put our M1A1s on them and take them to the gun range because or the distance. Driving a tank up on the trailer is an experience. In the m1 when you start to pull up on the trailer the truck driver stands on top of the truck cab so you can see his or her fingertips to ground guide you on the trailer.

Howdy mat,

I own one of these (the Accurate Armour kit, not the real truck #:-) ), and I must agree with our good member jimbrae, it IS a Beast!! Rather expensive as well. Mine had a price sticker on it of $485. sheckles! But the box is full to the brim with resin, white metal, photo etch, etc. This is going to be a long-term project for me.
If there's anything you need to know about the kit...let me know.

Tread.

It really is a nice truck but is the scale 1/35 ? $485.00 is a lot of money for that scale. I had seen one in my local hobby shop about a week or so ago and did not even look at the price because I was in a hurry. I guess I will just have to add it to my wish list.

thanks for all your info. I'd better start saving some money from now on. I saw they had a model of a Scammel Commander which I have been looking for since I started modelling again a few years ago.

I actually own one of these at work (real vehicle, not the kit). I've got photos of the truck tires, they are the same as used on the PLS. I don't know about how many of the rear axles on the truck turn. You may be able to tell from photographs of the actual vehicle I have in my motor pool.

The wheels on the trailer are more like the nose wheel on aircraft. They are paired on a strut per side. All in all, it is an impressive machine.

Hi,

Yes Rob M1070 Hets truck tractor and M1074/1075 PLS have the same wheels.

On the Hets tracto,r only the last rear axle is turning (with the front axle evidently)

There is notagle axle like on the Het M911.

Cheers
