Hi Carlos,
Hey, you have a Logo now!
Well done on the building. I am also curious to read more about your pen painting method.

thanks for your interest guys. You know that painting bricks is a very tedious job and that the good result itīs not easy to be obtained. In the old brick walls every brick have is how colour, some time subtle shade, but that give a unique look of the old walls. I tried here to reproduce thres. The metod is easy and fast: take some brown/ reddish pens ( I take mine from old time forgotten boxes from my guys)and paint the bricks with them, may be seems fastidious, but is fast as write, you only must make little lines The best point is the one similiar lo Edding 1300 pens, afther this with a brusch solve them with alcohol. no two bricks will rest the same colour, due the cork embebed the colour and the alcohol and give unique sade for every of them:I have used four colurs for this work. Hope that I could see some work from you.
Claude: this logo was my old logo when I was my how little company of houses 1/35. itīs remembrance of old good times

excellent work blockhaus the bricks are very convincing indeed you are on for a good start here.
May I suggest one thing, the walls seem a bit too tidy for me. Depending on the effect you want to achieve, if you want to show just an old working factory than you are already on the right track. But if you want to show a ruined or abandoned factory in a war zone then you could consider a few broken or removed bricks here and there, maybe some bullet holes, broken windows with lots of dust on it... you know the whole falling apart building thing.
I have to join everyone here that we want to know more about how you painted the bricks by pen, what type of pen and how was it done? could you tell us more? maybe with some photos.
Good luck and looking forward to see the progress of the Diorama.

Blockhaus, your walls look great - very nice color and texture - mortar between the bricks looks good too. Nice treatment on the stonework too - I can easily imagine this taking some time to do - your trick with the colored pens is one to remember

Hi Carlos. Ive been watching this progress on Facebook, and as usual, you always bring something new and interesting. Great tips for the painting ... will look into that. Did you build the frame for this many years ago. I remember you started something like this, but never took it any further.

thanks guys for you nice words.
Hussein yes, I want do that you says, but first I need finish "undamaged" piece futher I will make the scars of the war. The pens that I use are normal colour pens a lot of companies make them: Edding, Staedler, Jovi, and a lot of others and the thecnique es simple: apply the colour late whas with alcohol. I will try make some photos with a tutorial in a future

What did you use for mortar, the white glue holding the bricks together?

Hey Carlos, once again, superb craftmanship. I really like scratch built buildings as they are not only different from the company bought ones, but they always fit the story instead of the story fitting the building. I have 2 company buildings, all the rest I scratch build. This pen painting is something I never thought of, good to find another way to expand my knowladge thanks to you. The colors of your bricks look so normal and right. Look forward once again to following this build of yours. bob d.
