I decided to start a new thread instead of adding to the already hijacked one
anyway the postman was good to me today.
there is a basic interior to the kit. some details on the inside of the upper and lower hull, as well as the walls. no doubt the aftermarket companies are already starting to remedy this.
road wheels are of the standard T-55 type.
the sprue attach nubs on the sprockets are a little on the large side and require care not to damage the teeth.
there are 2 of these sprues

Thanks for these pics, it looks great!
Can you tell from the instructions if you can build it with the rear entry door open?

pt 2
there are a total of 7 FN mag's in the kit.
vision blocks etc.
the PE fret
I am not too crazy about the decals, they are pretty thick.
the tracks are rubber band type.
I took the liberty of checking how the sprocket works with Spade Ace t-55 tracks. as you can see the fit is not too bad, but I think I might have to modify a couple of the teeth to get it to fit right.
cheers

Hi Hisham
the Rear entry door is actually workable, so yes it can be opened

I'm thinking of getting one of Masterclub's track sets for it.. which type goes with this, the OMSH or the RMSH?

Interesting. The decals say "ACHZARIT APC EARLY."
Now, I'm not suggesting that another version is on the way, but I've been in the Army long enough to know that seldom does a vehicle stay the same for long. Is it too far out in left field to think that differences in opinion about the details might have something to do with differences in the actual vehicles looked at? Just a thought...

Actually, Robert, that has happened before.. one person says that a certain turret is not correct.. and another person posts a pic showing that it is correct.. and the other person just saw a different variant or whatever.. especially converted vehicles like this

I would not recommend Masterclub tracks at all. the resin is very brittle and the tracks are prone to cracking while snapping them together. the spade ace tracks are really nice.

Thanks for the advice, Dylan.. I'll check them out.. how easy/difficult are they to assemble?
Is this a good reference for this vehicle?

I don't know whether to jump up and down and shout with joy or go cry in the corner when I think of how I'm going to get all this in the budget.

I took a break from the Char 2C to check out how the interior goes together.
this is all you get for the lower hull. there are locating circles in the hull for a floor panel, as well as tabs for the front plate.
there are a couple of large ejector pin marks to clean up if you want to leave the rear door open

I started mine too. I made the mistake of cutting off all the road wheels and painting before assembly. For some reason, there are road wheels A and B which naturally I mixed up. Other than the attachment points between the wheels, I can't tell them apart. Second mistake was spraying Life color's Israeli green, which is says is the color for the Achzerit, Merkava, etc. It doesn't look right, so I'll have to respray. Other than that, the build is really great.

Looks good, Dylan!
It's a bit strange that they would have some interior detail on the back wall and the left wall, which would not be visible from the open rear door. Maybe they had plans for a full interior, then changed their mind? Anyway, it's a good base to build on and add a little bit more detail to have something show from the open rear door
Enjoy the rest of it

Mine's somewhere between Texas and Japan, I'll bet somebody has an interior update out by the time it arrives.
The kit looks really nice. I think I even saw real live IDF tow cable ends. I could use a bucket-full of those.
Anyone try Friul tracks on the drive sprocket yet?

Hi Guys;
I don't know much about APCs in service with Israel, but this kit looks Stunning. And with all of those Hatches and rear ramp, this kit will draw a lot of Attention for that detail alone. IMHO this vehicle is nice in that it gives the Modeler a Different subject away from the Normal MBTs, now I am talking from a person that Builds from a Collector and not the person who only builds for either Diorama or only builds certain types. In any case, this gives a subject of a vehicle lets say was a After thought in that it was Based on a Design that it wasn't designed for. Its Different and looks Cool, and will lead into many Adventures into the World of Modeling. CHEERS; MIKE.
