which stug are these? stug III or stug IV? ausf?

These are StuG III based on the PzKpfw III chassis. I'm not smart enough to know the actual Ausf though. You can tell the PzKpfw III from the IV chassis by the road wheels. The III uses larger road wheels and the IV has eight small paired road wheels per side.

The first and third pics are stug III AusfG The second pic looks like a replica someone built.. I compared the the pictures to ones in the encylopedia of german tanks of world war 2

Barron's dead on. The rep looks like it was built on an FV432 chassis; but has a 6th roadwheel??

Where were the pictures taken? I'ld like to see an operational Stug III G. The second one is a movie tank I'm sure...pretty darn good mock up too.

very nice to see some operational StuG's On that second one,wasn't that used on Band Of Brothers series? I think I read somewere that an FV 432 was made into a StUG for that series
